As she makes her way to the bakery, she sees a little beggar who told her that she hasn’t eaten in days. Feeling pity, she buys 6 buns and gives 5 to the little girl. The baker, who sees the scene outside the bakery comes out and asks the beggar how many buns Sara gave her. She is surprised when she finds out how many Sara gave the little girl. Moved by the act, the baker let the little girl go inside her house to warm herself up. On the other hand, as Sara was eating the tiny pieces of her last bun on her way back home, she sees the Large family saying good bye to their father and they tell him to find the little girl. Sara then wonders who they are looking for.

Luckily her aunt has sent her a box full of good food, decides to sneak it upstairs and have a party with Sara and Becky! When they were about to eat the cake, they heard an angry Miss Minchin come up the stairs, accompanied by Lavinia. Miss Minchin threatened to kick Becky out and punishes Sara by not giving her food. Sara gets angry and wonders out loud what her papa would say if he knew where she was; Miss Minchin storms out of the room. As she's sleeping, Ram Dass sneaks into her room and turns it into a magical cozy place! When she wakes up, her room is transformed to a nice and cozy place with a crackling fire and lots of fancy things, books, and food for her. Sara starts crying and calls Becky over to join her in the room.
